1. No Data Collection or Tracking

TrackMyBugs does not collect, sell, rent, share, or transmit personal data to Splitmindlabs. The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, telemetry services, or tracking domains. We do not build usage profiles and we do not monitor how you use the app.

2. Local Project Storage

TrackMyBugs is designed as a local-first macOS app. Your projects, bug lists, tabs, checklist items, colors, stickers, completion state, due dates, and reminder dates are saved as app project files on your Mac. By default, project files are stored in your user Documents folder under Splitmind Labs/TrackMyBugs/projects. Small app preferences, such as the current project selection and display settings, may be stored locally in macOS UserDefaults.

3. Optional iCloud Sync

If you use the app's iCloud sync feature, TrackMyBugs stores project files in your private Apple iCloud Documents container (iCloud.com.splitmindlabs.trackmybugs) so macOS can sync them between your devices. iCloud sync is handled by Apple through your Apple ID. Splitmindlabs does not receive your project files, cannot read your iCloud container, and does not operate a separate cloud database for TrackMyBugs.

4. Photo Attachments and Screenshots

TrackMyBugs lets you attach images to bug items. Imported images are copied into the app's local Application Support storage on your Mac. If you use the built-in screenshot capture feature, macOS creates a temporary screenshot file and TrackMyBugs imports it into the same local photo storage, then removes the temporary file. These images are not uploaded to Splitmindlabs.

5. Notifications

TrackMyBugs may request macOS notification permission so it can show reminders and due-date alerts that you create inside the app. Notification content can include the bug item's text and project name so the reminder is useful. These notifications are scheduled and managed locally through Apple's notification system.

6. Files You Choose to Open or Attach

When you choose an image or other user-selected file, macOS grants TrackMyBugs permission to access that file for the action you requested. The app uses that access to import the attachment or show it in Finder. TrackMyBugs does not scan your files or upload them to Splitmindlabs.

7. Data Control and Deletion

You control your TrackMyBugs data. You can delete projects inside the app, remove photo attachments, turn iCloud sync off, and manage or delete synced files through your Mac and iCloud settings. Since Splitmindlabs does not store a server-side copy of your TrackMyBugs data, we cannot recover project files after you delete them from your devices or iCloud.

8. Support Contact

If you contact Splitmindlabs for support, we will use the information you choose to send only to respond to your request. For privacy questions, contact us at splitmindlabs@gmail.com.
