Privacy Policy

1. Zero-Telemetry & Tracker-Free Policy

Your interaction with CaptureMyItems is entirely yours. We do not integrate third-party analytics libraries (such as Firebase, Mixpanel, App Center, or Google Analytics), nor do we deploy tracking scripts or advertisement modules. We collect exactly zero diagnostic data, app usage telemetry, or behavioral profiles.

2. Local-First Device Storage

By default, CaptureMyItems operates on a local-first design philosophy. Every item, category description, quantity, custom metadata field, and associated photograph is stored and processed natively on your physical iOS device. The data never leaves your device unless you choose to enable cloud backup.

3. Private iCloud Sync & Backup (CloudKit)

When synchronization is enabled, your database and photographs are securely backed up and kept in sync across your iOS devices using Apple's native CloudKit framework. All data resides inside a designated, secure private database container (iCloud.com.splitmindlabs.CaptureMyItems.CaptureMyItems) associated exclusively with your personal Apple ID. Splitmindlabs has no database access, no visibility, and no administrative control over this cloud storage container. Your data is isolated, protected, and fully controlled by you through Apple's privacy infrastructure. If you sign out of iCloud, the app seamlessly falls back to local-only storage on your device.

4. On-Device Hardware Permissions

CaptureMyItems requests specific hardware permissions to deliver its visual cataloging experience. Each permission operates strictly on-device:

• Camera Access: Used exclusively to photograph physical assets and inventory items directly within the app's rapid capture interface to instantly attach them to inventory files.
• Photo Library (Import): Used to let you select and import pre-existing photographs of your belongings directly into your inventory lists.
• Photo Library (Export/Add): Used strictly to save high-resolution copies of your inventoried item photographs back into your native Camera Roll when exporting records.

5. Natively Verified StoreKit Subscriptions

All monthly and yearly premium subscriptions are executed and managed entirely through Apple's secure StoreKit API. We do not use external payment processors, webhooks, or third-party entitlement verification platforms (such as RevenueCat). Transaction validation occurs directly on-device via local StoreKit receipts, and your current active subscription state is cached locally in your device's secure UserDefaults database.

6. Ultimate Data Ownership, Export & Deletion

You retain ultimate ownership and control of your data. You may:

• Export Everything: Instantly pack all metadata (as structured spreadsheets/CSVs) and all high-resolution item photos into a standard portable ZIP archive at any time.
• Purge Permanently: Delete your inventory data instantly. Initiating a database deletion within the app deletes all local storage on your iPhone and instructs Apple's servers to completely and permanently purge the synced data from your private iCloud CloudKit container.
